RESOLUTION REGARDING ASSIGNMENT OF AUTHORITY TO INVEST COUNTY FUNDS.
Resolution 7
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes Section 59.47 ~1 1} entitled, INVESTMENT
AUTHORITY DELEGATION, has recently been amended by ~g83 Wisconsin Act 280, and
WHEREAS, the said Act 284 authorizes the Cou ty Board to delegate by
resolution or ordinance to any officer or employee ~y authority assigned by
law to the County Board to invest county funds, and
WHEREAS, under the former law, the County Bo rd had delegated to the
County Treasurer such authority to invest county fun s, and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Finance Direct r should be given authority
by the County Board to invest county funds inasmuch s said Finance Director
has been investing county funds under the authority f the County Treasurer
prior to the said amendment,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croi County Board of Supervisors,
meeting in regular session, that the authority assig ed by law to the St. Croix
County Board of Supervisors to invest county funds i hereby delegated to the
St. Croix County Finance Director, effective immedia ely.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all former resole ions concerning authority
to invest county funds is hereby repealed.
