RESOLUTION CREATING SOLID WASTE DISPQSAL CDMMITTEE
Resolution
WHEREA5, the St, Croix County Comprehensive Planning,. Zoning
and Parks Committee, together with the St. Croix County Solid
i
Waste Advisor y Committee ha v e met on numerous occasions and have
studied various alternatives in the area of solid waste disposal
for St. Croix County; and
WHEREAS, various plans and studies have been promulgated and
have been considered by the said Committees; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary for a permanent committee to be
_ created by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors with the
duties and responsibilities of such committee as set forth below;
'and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that said Committee be named the
Solid Waste Disposal Committee and shall consist of eleven
members, with the Committee composition to be the five members of
the Comprehensive Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee, the five
members of the Finance, Building, and Bond. Committee, together
with the Chairman of the Special Building Committee,
NQW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St, Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the Solid Waste
Disposal Committe is hereby created, effective immediately, with
the Committee composition to be eleven members, consisting of the
five members of the Comprehensive P1 a~ning, Zoning and Parks
Committee, the five members of the Finanee, Budget, Building and
Bond Committee,, together. with the Chairman of the Special
Building Committee,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the duties and responsibilities

1, Continue to review and explore, alternative methods of
waste disposal,
2, Retain a consulting engineerin'g' firm to proceed with
detailed engineering plans,
3. Negotiate contracts for purchase of steam with potential users,
40 Negotiate any necessary easements, rights-of-way, etc,
5. Develop detailed cost estimates and financing plans,
b, Hold public hearings or informational meetings to elicit
public opinion regarding any proposal projects,
7, Bring a proposed project back to the County Board of Supervisors with detailed financial plans,

S, Report monthly in writing and `at each County Board
meeting on the progress of such work.
BE IT FURTHER ~ESGLVED that all existing Advisory Committees
in the area of solid waste disposal are hereby repealed,
effective immediately,
