to investigate homicides and unusual or unattended deaths in St. Croix C oun t:y ; and
.WHEREAS, the present Coroner System does not re ~ ' quire mcdleally trained personnel
to perform the investigative function of determining cause of death ill h '

WHEREAS, St . Croix .County plays an increa }ing.ly important role it 1 the commerce
of the Twin C1t1eS Metropolitan ,Area; and
WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Medical E~Carniner's office in St. Paul

WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's office i -r

effective at, the end of the term of the present Coroner .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Croix Count Board 1 y of Supervisor,.} authorize
the execution of a contract with the Ramsey Count Minne~~ota Board ~ ' ~,ry
