Discontinuos use in the winter (a vacaction trip, resulting in no water use) can also lead to freeze ups. 2. Water conservation needs to be exercised! Or system can be hydrolically overloaded and destroyed. This sys was designed for a maximum wastewater flow of ys gals. daily. 3. POWTS are not designed to accomodate wastes from a garbage disposal unit, or any other unnatural sources of waste. Any introduction of such waste materials will overload and destroy this system. 4. If a power outage occurs, or a pump fails, it may result in a temporary overload of effluent being pumped into the cell, which may adversely impact the cell (lea)tAge). It is recommended that a licensed pumper empty the dosing tank, allowing the pump to return to dosing the correct amounts. Consult your installer immediately for advice. 5. Neglect of the vegetative cover (the cells insulation & erosion preventive) can lead to failure. Compaction or heavy traffic also can destroy the system.
