Staff finds that the proposed rip rap project meets the spirit and intent of the St. Croix County Shoreland Ordinance with the following findings: 1. The rip rap project was designed as a soil conservation practice by the St. Croix County Land and Water Conservation Department and is being proposed in conjunction with the Kinnickinnic Priority Watershed Project; 2. Soil conservation practices to control sedimentation are allowed without a special exception permit according to Section 17.29(4)of the Shoreland Ordinance; 3. The approval of this project will not affect the public health, safety and welfare of County residents. This approval does not allow for additional grading, filling, or clearing of vegetation beyond the limits of this request. Your information will remain on file in the St. Croix County Planning and Zoning Department. You must contact the Town of Kinnickinnic, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and other State and Federal government agencies to ensure compliance with additional regulations, standards, or required permits.
