Resolution No. 5 (2014)
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE HIGHWAY WAGE GRID
1 WHEREAS, it is the County's intent to maintain an equitable compensation system; and

3 WHEREAS, the Highway represented employees moved to the pay for performance
4 system in 2013 but have not yet been placed on the pay for performance wage grid; and
5
6 WHEREAS, Human Resources staff and Highway Administration have met and
7 reviewed job responsibilities and have recommended placement on the attached wage grid; and
8
9 WHEREAS, when implemented with non-represented employees and SCCOPE
10 employees, it was recommended and approved that employees receive up to a 3% non-base wage
11 adjustment upon implementation; and

13 NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that:

15 1. The St. Croix County Board of Supervisors approves the placement of highway
16 employees on the pay plan attached to this resolution.
17 2. Effective March 16, 2014 all employees currently on HWY (Highway) union wage
18 grid shall be placed on the step of the new pay plan nearest to but not lower than their current
19 pay rate. To the extent that step placement represents less than 3%, the balance shall be paid as a
20 one-time payment that shall not increase their base pay.
