MINUTES OF THE ST. CROIX COUNTY ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE
Wednesday May 4, 2011
Meeting called to order by Chair Norton Bauman
Members Present: Daryl Standafer, Sharon Norton-Bauman, Roger Rebholz, Lorin Sather, Buck Malick,
Ryan Sicard, Esther Wentz

1. Closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85 (1) (c) to Interview County Administrator
Candidates
Motion by Sicard, Second by Wentz to enter into closed session at 9:01 am.
Funk provided an overview of the interview process with the hiring panel. A packet of information was provided to
members including a list of the applicants, interview questions, the interview schedule, and copies of the
applications. Funk conducted a review of the questions to be asked of candidates and the interview schedule. 11
candidates were interviewed in total: 7 on May 18 and 4 on May 20. Funk discussed that following the interviews,
the committee would either try to achieve a consensus with regard to one candidate to recommend to the County
Board for appointment or determine which candidates with whom to conduct a second interview. Following the
interview of the 11 candidates, the members of the committee discussed the qualification of each and made a
unanimous recommendation to invite 3 individuals back for a second interview on Wednesday May 27. Human
Resources will notify all candidates of the decision.

The committee did not meet again, all members of the panel were provided a copy of the minutes, no one had any
additions or corrections, and these minutes have been submitted by T. Funk as the official minutes.
Items for County Board approval must be submitted to the County Clerk's office by Wednesday morning preceding
a County Board meeting.
