The St . Croix County Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing
on February 24 , 1983 to consider the request of Alice Inc . , River ' s
Edge for a Special Exception to Article 2 . 9 a 18 , Commercial Enter-
prise , (Water Slide) ST. CROIX COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE.
The St . Croix County Board of Adjustment conducted an on-site inspec-
tion of - the site in question.
After inspection, the St . Croix County Board of Adjustment returned
to open session; the following decision was rendered.
Motion by Supervisor Stephens to approve the request of Alice Inc. ,
River' s Edge to construct a water slide on the property owned in
the Township of Star Prairie. Seconded by Supervisor George.
Motion carried.
Vote to approve :
Meinke , yes ;
Stephens , yes ;

BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS HEARING
February 24 , 1983

Meeting called to order by Chairman Meinke at 1 : 00 PM in the County
Board Room, St . Croix County Courthouse , Hudson , Wisconsin.
Present were Supervisors Meinke , Stephens and George .
Mr. William Raleigh presented his request for a Special Exception
Use , (Water Slide) , on his commercially zoned property .
Hearing recessed for inspection of the property .
Board ,returned to the Hearing with the following decision .
Motion by Supervisor Stephens to approve this request . Seconded by
Supervisor George . Motion carried.
Vote to approve : Meinke , yes ; Stephens , yes ; George , yes .
Being no further business before the Board , a motion was made by
Supervisor George to adjourn. Seconded by Supervisor Stephens .
Motion carried .
Hearing closed at 2 : 30 PM .
This is a half day meeting .

Dear Mr . Nelson:
I have briefly answered statements as outlined in your NIB.A.
permit for special exemption application, as per our
telephone conversation this date.
Additional space was required to answer #4 and I will
attempt to do so as follows:
b. Roads- this area will remain virtually uneffected.
Roads leading to the proposed facility will
remain unchanged within our property.
C. Police and Fire Services--Due to the fact that this
facility will be in addition and not replace
our tubing industry , the aforementioned will
remain as previously established.
d. Groundwater supply and quality --- this will not ,
apply or will remain undisturbed. This facility
is totally self-contained.
e. Surrounding uses -- This recreational facility will
only serve to compliment the already existing
River ' s Edge facility.
f. Local economy - our proposed project will generate
and increase local economy. It will also help
create more jobs in the community.
