RESOLUTION TO INCORPORATE CITY, VILLAGE AND
TOWN OUTDOOR RECREATION PLANS INTO THE ST.
CROIX COUNTY OUTDOOR RECREATION PLAN
1 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Outdoor Recreation Plan was adopted by the County
2 Board of Supervisors on January 6, 2013; and

4 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Outdoor Recreation Plan, Goal G, Objective 2,
5 encourages the County to incorporate city, village and town outdoor recreation plans into the St.
6 Croix County Outdoor Recreation Plan when requested by a city, village or town; and

8 WHEREAS, the City of Hudson, villages of Somerset and Spring Valley and towns of
9 Somerset, St. Joseph, Troy and Warren have requested that St. Croix County incorporate their
10 community Outdoor Recreation Plans into the St. Croix County Outdoor Recreation Plan; and
11
12 WHEREAS, these additional Outdoor Recreation Plans provide both passive and active
13 recreational opportunities for the residents of the County thereby promoting public health,
14 improving the attractiveness of the County and contributing to the social and economic health of
15 the County and local communities; and
16
17 WHEREAS, incorporating city, village and town outdoor recreation plans into the St.
18 Croix County Outdoor Recreation Plan may qualify the city, village or town for additional points
19 towards award of state or federal grants under the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
20 Stewardship Program.

22 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
23 hereby incorporates the Outdoor Recreation Plans for the City of Hudson, villages of Somerset
24 and Spring Valley and towns of Somerset, St. Joseph, Troy and Warren into the St. Croix County
25 Outdoor Recreation Plan.
