Home My WebLink AboutResolution 2014 (22) Resolution No. 22 (2014) RESOLUTION TO APPROVE BUDGET AMENDMENTS FOR COUNTY POSITIONS AND NEW HEALTH CENTER BUILDING & RENOVATIONS. 1 WHEREAS, the Clerk of Court Department has identified a need to increase the hours from part- 2 time to full-time for a Deputy Clerk Position due to increased workload and coverage issues; and 3 4 WHEREAS, the Circuit Court Department has identified a need to increase the hours from part- 5 time to full-time for the Juvenile Services Clerk Position due to additional duties and responsibilities 6 related to the Juvenile Treatment Court, Probate Office and St. Croix County Substance Abuse 7 Prevention Coalition; and 8 9 WHEREAS, the Facilities Department has identified a need to add a part-time Custodian Position 10 due to facility cleaning needs; and 11 12 WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department has identified a need to add a Senior 13 Systems Engineer Position due to increased workload and project oversight management 14 responsibilities; and 15 16 WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department has identified a need to add an End Point 17 Specialist Position due to growing demands and devices of users; and 18 19 WHEREAS, the Health and Human Services Department is asking that an existing Youth and 20 Community Support Services Social Worker Position become a Lead Social Worker Position funded by 21 new Children's Long-Term Support Capacity Funding from the WI Department of Health Services; and 22 23 WHEREAS, the Administration Committee has considered, reviewed and supports the requests 24 for the six positions; and 25 26 WHEREAS, the Administration Departments and Health Center Department have identified a 27 need for funding for the planning and architectural design for the new Health Center Building, 28 renovation of the existing building, assisted living and dementia unit; and 29 30 WHEREAS, besides the unanticipated funding for the positions noted above, unassigned General 31 Fund Balance, and additional or new State and Federal funding as shown below; and 32 33 WHEREAS, the receipt of these unanticipated revenues or the expenditure of funds for these 34 unbudgeted expenses require that a budget amendment be authorized by a two-thirds vote of the 35 entire membership of the Board of Supervisors. 36 37 THEREFORE be it resolved that effective with the publication of the notices required by law, the 38 budget of the County of St. Croix, for the year beginning January 1, 2014, is amended by the following 39 amounts to the line item account numbers shown: 40 Account Name Account Number Expenditure Revenue Clerk of Court To increase the hours from part-time to full-time for a Deputy Clerk Position.
