RESOLUTION APPROVING ALTERATION OF SUPERVISORY
DISTRICT BOUNDARIES RESULTING FROM AN
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF HUDSON
1 WHEREAS, in 2011 the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors adopted a 10-year supervisory
2 district plan creating county supervisory districts, municipal aldermanic districts and election wards
3 following the 2010 Census; and
4
5 WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes § 59.10(3)(c) allows a county board, in its discretion, to alter the
6 boundaries of supervisory districts based on annexations which occur after the adoption of the 10-year
7 supervisory district plan, as long as the number of supervisory districts is not changed; and
8
9 WHEREAS, the City of Hudson completed an annexations on July 31, 2014 and amendment to
10 correct ward designation on August 4, 2014 of a parcel of approximately 12.30 acres; and
11
12 WHEREAS, a map of the annexed parcel, along with a copy of the annexation ordinance and
13 ordinance amending ordinance 7.14, has been filed with the St. Croix County Clerk and are attached; and
14
15 WHEREAS, the parcel annexed by the City of Hudson is part of County Supervisor District 8,
16 consisting of Ward 8 of the Town of Hudson; and
17
18 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to move the annexed parcel into County Supervisor District 7 in
19 Ward 4 in the City of Hudson; and
20
21 WHEREAS, the population of the annexed parcel is zero residents which maintains the original
22 numbers of the affected districts; and
23
24 WHEREAS, this resolution does not change the number of supervisory districts.

26 THEREFORE be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the supervisory
27 district boundaries are hereby altered by moving the annexed parcel of land from County Supervisor
28 District 8 to County Supervisor District 7 consisting of Ward 4 in the City of Hudson as shown on the
29 attached;

31 FURTHER be it resolved that the St. Croix County Clerk is hereby directed to forward all notices
32 required under Wisconsin Statutes, Chapter 59, to the Secretary of State for the purpose of advising that
33 office of said supervisory district boundary changes.

At the meeting of the Common Council held on Monday, July 21, 2014,
this annexation was approved to the City from the Town of Hudson in St. Croix
County.

ORDINANCE No. 7-14
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF HUDSON, WISCONSIN
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUDSON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Territory Annexed. In accordance with Section 66.031 of the Wisconsin Statutes
and the petition for direct annexation filed with the City Clerk on May 23, 2014 signed by the land owner
in the territory, the following described territory in the town of Hudson, St. Croix County, Wisconsin is
annexed to the City of Hudson, Wisconsin:
Lot 4, Certified Survey Map, Volume 16, Page 4279, Town of Hudson, St. Croix County, Wisconsin as
recorded in document 676461, St. Croix County Register of Deeds Office.
SECTION 2. Effect of Annexation. From and after the date of this ordinance the territory
described in section 1 shall be a part of the City of Hudson for any and all purposes provided by law and
all persons coming or residing within such territory shall be subject to all ordinances, rules and
regulations governing the City of Hudson, Wisconsin.
SECTION 3. Zoning Classification. The territory shall be designated as R-1, One-family
Residential District, pursuant to Municipal Code, Chapter 255 - Zoning, Section 255-12 . The territory is
designated as General Commercial in the 2009 City of Hudson comprehensive plan. An application shall
be submitted by SSHD Inc. to initiate a request to rezone the property to B-2, General Business District.
SECTION 4. Ward Designation. The territory described in Section 1 of this ordinance is hereby
made a part of the Seventh Ward of the City of Hudson.
SECTION 5. Severability. If any portion of this ordinance is invalid or unconstitutional,
or if the application of this ordinance to any person or circumstances is invalid or unconstitutional, such
invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this ordinance
which can be given effect without the invalid or unconstitutional provision or application.
SECTION 6. Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication as
provided by law.

CITY OF HUDSON, WISCONSIN
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 7-14: ANNEXATION ORDINANCE
Ordinance amending Ordinance 7-14: An Ordinance Annexing Territory to the City of Hudson.
Whereas, the incorrect Ward Designation was noted in Section 4 of Ordinance 7-14,
Now therefore, the Common Council of the City of Hudson hereby ordains as follows:
That Section 4 of Ordinance 7-14: An Ordinance Annexing Territory to the City of Hudson is hereby
repealed and recreated as follows:
Section 4. Ward Designation The territory described in Section 1 of this ordinance is hereby made
a part of the Fourth Ward of the City of Hudson.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication as required
by law.
