Location: NEk of the) July 24, 1984 SE114 of Section 36, T30N-R20W, Town of ) St. Joseph. ) The St. Croix County Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing on July 24, 1984 to consider the request of Don Anderson for a special exception use, Article 2.6F(4) , Contractors Storage Yard, ST. CROIX COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE. The St. Croix County Board of Adjustment conducted on onsite inspection of the site in question. After inspection, the St. Croix County Board of Adjustment entered an Executive Session to discuss the request. ` After returning to open session, the following decision was rendered. Motion by Supervisor Stephens to approve the request of Don Anderson for a contractors storage yard as it is a good use of the property. Seconded by Super- visor Kelly. Vote to approve: Meinke, yes; Kelly, yes; y Stephens, yes. All variances approved must be acted on or constructed within one (1) year from date of approval or they shall be null and void. William White: Motion by Supervisor Meinke to grant a 100 foot setback for William White as it does not harm property being further back. Seconded by Super- visor Kelly. Motion carried. Vote to approve: Meinke, yes; Kelly, yes; Stephens, yes. 3. Cedar Lake Speedway: Motion by Supervisor Meinke to deny the request of Cedar Lake Speedway for a travel trailer park, because the definition of a travel trailer park is not distinct on the property and does not meet the requirements for same. Seconded by Supervisor Stephens. Motion carried. Vote to deny: Meinke, yes; Stephens, yes; Kelly, yes. The next scheduled meeting is August 28, 1984. Meeting at 9:00 a.m. and hearings at 10:00 a.m. Being no further business before the Board, a motion by Supervisor Kelly to adjourn. Seconded by Supervisor Meinke. Motion carried. VK:HB:mj �I it BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING AND HEARINGS July 24, 1984 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman Stephens at 9:00 a.m. in the County Board Room, Courthouse, Hudson. All members present. Minutes of the June 26, 1984 meeting and hearing approved as written. Old business: Randolph Bollom Mrs. Bollom and Everett Boldt talked to the Board regarding the denial of his request to construct a garage 90 feet from the centerline of STH "12". Zoning Administrator read letter from Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Board agreed to reinspect 1 the property. After inspecting the property, the Board of Adjustments decision shall stand. Gary Martin talked to the Board on keeping the temporary storage building on his property after five (5) years. He would continue to use the building for storage only after the new structure was built. The building would be removed if he did not put up the permanent structure in five (5) years. Motion by Supervisor Stephens that the temporary building may be left in place upon completion of the permanent facility to the north of it, if no need is expressed by St. Croix County for removal of the building. The building shall be removed without contest when demand is received for removal from St. Croix County and/or the State of Wisconsin. Seconded by Supervisor Kelly. Motion carried. Vote to approve: Stephens, yes; Meinke, yes, Kelly, yes. Chairman Stephens called the hearing to order. Zoning Administrator read notice of the hearing s published in the count and local newspapers. 8 P Y i 1. ARTICLE: 3.11 C(7), Travel Trailer Park APPELLANT: Cedar Lake Speedway LOCATION: SA of the NWT of Section 10, T31N-R18W, Town of Star Prairie. Chairman explained the rules of the hearing. Mr. Don Anderson presented his request to construct a contractors storage yard for heating.and air conditioning equipment. There will be no retail outlet. The building will be a Butler type structure. Questions by members of the Board. Mr. William White presented his request to construct a garage that would be 75 feet from the centerline of Valley View Trail. The building would not be seen from the road. Mr. White also explained that the terrain dictates the location of the struc- ture. Mr. Ted Cook presented the request of Cedar Lake Speedway to have a travel trailer park on the premises for those who wish to camp overnight during the races. This would be only for the convenience of those who travel a great distance and to accommodate the participants of the races. There would be no charge for the camping facilities. Questions by members of the Board. Board recessed the hearings to inspect the properties in question. The Board returned to session to render the following decisions: 1. Don Anderson: Motion by Supervisor Stephens to approve the request of Don Anderson for a contractors storage yard as it is a good use of the property. Secon- ded by Supervisor Kelly. Motion carried.
