CROIX COUNTY WISCONSIN PLANNING & ZONING OFFICE COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER 1101 Carmichael Road Hudson, WI 54016-7710 (715) 386-4680 FAX (715) 386-4686 RE: Construction of house on designated POWYS Area Parcel # 020-1419-00-000 (20.29.19.2658), Town of Hudson Dear Mr. McAdam: During inspection of the Private On-site Wastewater Treatment System (POWYS) installation on 5/5/O5, it became apparent that the house was constructed over the original area designated for the primary and replacement septic systems. The soil report for this lot, completed by CST David Steele on 9/16/2002, specifically delineates the soil-tested area. Technically, the POWYS should not have been installed until a new soil evaluation report and revised sanitary permit application had been submitted. Anew soil evaluation must be completed by a licensed soil tester and submitted to the county. The POWYS installer, Bill Schumaker, will need to submit the revised application and plot plan with the associated fees to bring this system into compliance with Comm 83.22(4)4a. The county provides a copy of the approved permit, site plan, and POWYS maintenance information to be given to the property owner. If you did not receive a copy of this information from Sienna Corp., you may request a copy from the permit file. This POWYS will be flagged in our computer database as anon-compliant system and I will wait to sign off on the inspection report until I can verify the revised application, plot plan and new soil report has been submitted for staff review and approval.
