ST RO .,, RESOLUTION TO APPROVE BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR
' �' "''° WATER PROJECT FUNDING AT THE ST. CROIX COUNTY
FAIRGROUNDS
1 WHEREAS, on July 23, 2015 the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WI
2 DNR)notified the St. Croix County Fair, Inc. that the private water well supply located on the
3 St. Croix County Fairgrounds is not in compliance with the minimum standards set forth in
4 Wisconsin Administrative Code Section NR 812; and
5
6 WHEREAS, the WI DNR informed the St. Croix County Fair, Inc. that the well must be
7 filled and sealed as it currently poses a hazard to the health and safety of the public; and
8
9 WHEREAS, the well was filled and sealed by the St. Croix County Fair, Inc. on August
10 17, 2015; and

12 WHEREAS, without the private water well supply there is no water available for the
13 West Central Section of the St. Croix County Fairgrounds, either for human or animal
14 consumption; and
15
16 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Fair Board has requested that St. Croix County fund a
17 water project at the St. Croix County Fairgrounds to rectify the current well issue; and
18
19 WHEREAS, the anticipated cost of the water project is $92,000.00, which includes
20 installation of water pipe, construction costs, materials, design and construction management
21 fees, and bid publication costs; and
22
23 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Fair, Inc. is requesting that the water project funding
24 be paid out of the contingency fund; and
25
26 WHEREAS, a budget amendment by the County Board is required.

28 THEREFORE, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors authorizes
29 the amendment of the 2015 County Budget to expend up to $92,000.00 from the contingency
30 fund for the water project at the St. Croix County Fairgrounds.
