AGENDA ITEM: Amendment to Resolution 2 (2016) - Resolution Approving Grant for the
Snowmobile Trail Aids Program
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
By request of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the County is requesting to have
line 14 of Resolution 2 (2016) amended to include a back up signer for applications. The current
resolution only allows for the Community Development Department Director to sign
applications. The County is proposing that the designee of the Community Development
Department Director be added to the permission.

PROGRAM
1 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County snowmobile trail system is extensive and of high
2 quality attracting large numbers of users; and

4 WHEREAS, St. Croix County is eligible for annual funding of snowmobile maintenance
5 at the rate of$250.00 per mile; and
6
7 WHEREAS, St. Croix County along with cooperating snowmobile clubs currently
8 maintain 216.6 miles of state funded snowmobile trails.

10 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
11 approves the application to the Snowmobile Trail Aids Program for the St. Croix County
12 snowmobile trail system.

14 FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the Community Development Director or his/her
15 designee is authorized to submit an application and shall comply with state rules for the
16 programs, may perform force account work, and shall comply with obligations under the grant.
