HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2016 (52) Resolution No. 52 (2016) ST ROUK,,, RESOLUTION APPROVING ALTERATION OF SUPERVISORY ' ' DISTRICT BOUNDARY-VILLAGE OF BALDWIN 1 WHEREAS,in 2011 the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors adopted a 10-year supervisory 2 district plan creating county supervisory districts,municipal aldermanic districts and election wards 3 following the 2010 Census; and 4 5 WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes § 59.10(3)(c) allows a county board,in its discretion, to alter the 6 boundaries of supervisory districts based on annexations which occur after the adoption of the 10-year 7 supervisory district plan, as long as the number of supervisory districts is not changed; and 8 9 WHEREAS, the Village of Baldwin completed an annexation in May 2014 of a parcel described 10 as: Lots 1 and 2 of Certified Survey Map No. 6036 filed August 27, 2014 in Volume 26,Page 6036 as 11 document No. 1000795 (9.63 acres). 12 13 WHEREAS, a map of the annexed parcel, along with a copy of the annexation ordinance has 14 been filed with the St. Croix County Clerk and are attached; and 15 16 WHEREAS, the parcel annexed by the Village of Baldwin is part of County Supervisor District 17 16, consisting of Ward 3,in the Town of Hammond; and 18 19 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to move the annexed parcel into County Supervisor District 18 in 20 Ward 6,Village of Baldwin; and 21 22 WHEREAS, the population of the annexed parcel is zero; and 23 24 WHEREAS, this resolution does not change the number of supervisory districts. 25 26 THEREFORE be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the supervisory 27 district boundaries are hereby altered by moving the annexed parcel of land from County Supervisor 28 District 16 to County Supervisor District 18 consisting of Ward 6 in the Village of Baldwin as shown on 29 the attached; 30 31 FURTHER be it resolved that the St. Croix County Clerk is hereby directed to forward all notices 32 required under Wisconsin Statutes, Chapter 59, to the Secretary of State for the purpose of advising that 33 office of said supervisory district boundary changes. 34 Legal—Fiscal—Administrative Approvals: Legal Note: None Fiscal Impact: None JA W-1 Cox,Corpvrat o ouunseil I01 12116 hart M' Fiace ixector "'1""0 I r16 Pa ck Tho�psnq Conniy Admini1011=016 10/19/16 Administration Committee APPROVED ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ..........
