S � "� `' UNTY RESOLUTION CARRYING FORWARD 2016 FUNDS TO 2017
1 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors approved the 2016 Budget on
2 November 3, 2015; and

4 WHEREAS, the approved budget provided for the expenditure of funds in the amount of
5 $17,882,448 for capital expenditures; and
6
7 WHEREAS, approved funding for the aforementioned 2016 capital expenditures reduced
8 total approved capital expenditures to $16,576,855; and
9
10 WHEREAS, County staff intends to expend these funds in the completion of the
11 approved projects but recognizes that these expenditures will not be completed during 2016; and
12
13 WHEREAS, County staff intends to spend $50,000 transferred from the contingency for
14 professional services for water quality issues.

16 THEREFORE, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors hereby
17 approves the carrying forward of the following not to exceed amounts to be expended during
18 2017.

20 FURTHER be it resolved that the following not to exceed amounts will be added to any
21 amounts authorized in the 2017 budget for similar purposes.

23 Contingency Fund Budget balance from 2016 to 2017 Contingency Fund $ 69,000
24 Parks Fund: Contingency Funded Well Project in Parks $ 49,940
25 Corporation Counsel Budget: Contingency Funded Professional Services for CAFO $ 50,000
26 Total: $168,940

Legal Note:
Fiscal Impact: Without carrying forward, funds default into unassigned fund balance. By carrying
forward, funds can be used for originally allocated purpose from 2016 into the
2017 fiscal year.
