ORDINANCE #
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes Section 60.74 or seq. provides a
procedure for a 'town Board to recommend that zoning districts be
changed within its Township with the final approval being by the
County Board in counties having a Zoning Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the 'Township of Somerset held various
public meetings concerning a proposed change from Agricultural-
Residential Zoning to Agricultural Zwiing for the entire Township,

With certain exceptions, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board for the Township of Somerset met during
the month of October and approved by a vote of 3 to 0, that the
entire Township be rezoned from Agricultural-Residential to Agri-
cultural, with certain exceptions as are more particularly set forth
on the official Township of Somerset Zoning Map, and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Comprehensive Planning, 'Zoning and.
Parks Committee received an official letter from the 'Township of
Somerset indicating such recommendatign for rezoning, and met on
November 9, 1983 and approved of such recommendation by a 5 to 0 vote.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the action taken by the

Town Bogrd of the Township of Somerset and the recommendation by the
St. Croix County Comprehensive Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee
are hereby approved as follows:
1) The Town of Somerset 15 ,erobv rezoned from Agricultural-
Residential District to Agricultural District as more particularly
set forth in the St. Croix County Zoning Ordinance Section 2.4, EXCEPT kl
those areas excluded from the Agricultural District on the official
Township Map which is filed with the Sr. Croix County 'Zoning Admin-
istrator, with a copy being retained by the St. Croix County Clerk.
2) Parcels may be rezoned from the Township of Somerset Agri-
cultural District to any of the other Zoning Districts as more
particularly Set forth in the St. Croix County 'Zoning Ordinance if

the parcels meet any or all of the criteria set forth in Attachment
A to this Ordinance, which is hereby incorporated by reference.
This Ordinance shall take effect upon proper passage and pub-
lication according to Wisconsin law.
