ORDINANCE REPEALING THE ST, CROIX COUNTY DANCE HALL ORDINANCE.

WHEREAS, the present St. Croix County Dance Hall Ordinance was passed
by the County Board in September of 1974, and
WHEREAS, certain mandatory provisions of the said Ordinance were sus-
pended between 1977 and 1978, and
WHEREAS, the Law Enforcement Committee of the County Board of Supervisors
has studied said Ordinance, including the net effect of the suspension of part
of the Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Committee concludes that the Dance Hall Ordinance should be
repealed, thereby eliminating the necessity for the County Clerk's Office handling
of the scheduling for part-time Dance Hall Inspectors, The Sheriff's Department
from doing the same, and the Zoning Administrator from inspecting all Dance Halls '
on an annual basis, among other benefits, and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Administrator also recommends the repeal of said Or-/
dinance because the said annual inspection is an actual duplication of effort(,
in that his office and others are otherwise responsible for the inspection of
said Dance Halls,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, °
meeting in regular session, that the St. Croix County Dance Hall Ordinance # 40
(74), is hereby repealed in its entirety, effective upon passage and proper

publication of this Ordinance, and t'
BE IT FURTHER ORD,AIATED, that the County Clerk is hereby directed to publish
this Ordinance according to the Wisconsin Statutes.
