WHEREAS petition number 77-10 was received by the St.
Croix County Clerk on December 22, 1977, and was referred by the Clerk
to the St. Croix County Comprehensive Planning, Zoning and Parks
Committee which Committee held a public hearing on the matter January
16, 1978, preceeded by proper notice pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes;
and
WHEREAS the St. Croix County Comprehensive Planning, Zoning
and Parks Committee recomended adoption of the Ordinance setforth
below to carry out the intent of this petition.
ORDAINED
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PYWOKIJdiEIIY by the St. Croix County
Board of Supervisors that the following Ordinance be adopted:
Amend Section 3.10 of the St. Croix
County Shoreland Zoning Ordiance
as follows :
1. Amend section 3.10.2 as follows:
3.10.2 Jurisdiction
The geographical jurisdiction of this District shall
include all unincorporated lands in St. Croix County within the
St. Croix Riverway Boundary jA$40 g4VJ4t4XXt 410.4 flAo �01ATiO44t
as established and delineated in the Master Plan for the Lower
St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Section 3.10.11 of this
section contains a full legal description of these boundaries,
and this shall be the controlling description. The same
boundaries are shown on t e-map(s) identified as the St. Croix
River Valley District Map which is on file in the office of the
St. Croix County Zoning Administrator. The legal description
and the maps referred to above are made a part of this ordinance.
2. Amend section 3.10.4(c) (1) (d) as follows:
3.10.4(c) (1) (d) Permitted Uses
Docks and piers, only during the open water season,
which shall extend into the water only the mimimum
distance necessary to allow launching and mooring of watercraft
and which shall, wherever possible, be parallel with the shoreline.
3. Section 3.10.4(c) (1) (e) is repealed.
4. Amend section 3.10.4(3) (g) (1) (a) as follows : -- -
3.10.4(3) (g) (1) (a) Permitted Uses
Uses listed' as permitted uses in section x,1W 3.8.2
(conservancy uses) , provided that no sign allowed under section
3.8.2(h) shall be visible from the water.
5. Section 3.10.4(c) (3) (g) (2) (c) is repealed.
6. Section 3.10.4(c) (3) (g) (3) (c) is repealed.
7. The following new section 3. 10.4(c) (3) (g) (3) (c) is enacted to
replace the section repealed:
3.10.4(c) (3) (g) (3) (c) Dimensional Standards
All structures or portions thereof shall be located at
least twenty ive 25 eet from all property lines.
8. Section 3.10.4(c) (3) (g) (3) (e) (3) is repealed.
9. Existing section 3.10.8 is renumbered to become section 3.10.8(a) .

10. A new section 3.10.8(b) is created to read:
3.10.8(b)
Justification for a reduced setback shall be based on
limitations unposed by the physical characteristics o the
property, not on the 'eco'nomic or other conditions of the
applicant.
11. Section 3.10.10 is repealed.
