HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1978 (10) ORDINANCE AMENDMENT 4 1 C 1 WHEREAS petition number 77-17 was received by the St. Croix County Clerk on December 22, 1977, and was referred by the Clerk to the St. Croix County Comprehensive rehensive Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee which Committee held a public hearing on the matter January 16, 1978, proceeded by proper notice pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes; and WHEREAS the St. Croix County Comprehensive Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee recomended adoption of the Ordinance setforth below to carry out the intent of this petition. �1ED T� Y y NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT b the St. Croix Count Board of Supervisors that the following Ordinance be adopted: Amend Sections 8.5.3, 8.5.4 and 8.5.7 of the St. Croix County Sign Regulation Ordinance as follows: 1. Section 8.5.3 is repealed. 2. The following section 8.5.3 is enacted to replace the section repealed: 8.5.3 Permit Required Application for permission to erect all non-excepted signs shall be made to the St. Croix County Boar o Adjustment. 3. A new section 8:5.4(1) (d) is created to read: 8.5.4(1) (d) Commercial signs and all signs which direct attention to a use, product, activity p ivit or Place elsewhere located shall be placeT on in commercially zoned areas. 4. Section 8.5.7(3) is repealed. 5. The following section 8.5.7(3) is enacted to replace the section repealed: 8.5.7(3) All temporary signs shall be moved within ten (10) days after the event advertised. 6. A new section 8.5.7(4) is created to read: 8.5.7(4) Signs, posters or billboards advertising candidacy for a political office shall not be permitted to be posted prior to thirty 30 days preceding a primary election. All such signs, osters or billboards shall be removed no later than ten 0 days following the general election. It shall be the responsibility of the candidate to insure that materials bearing his/her name be so posted and removed.
