WHEREAS petition Number 77-18 was received by the St. Croix
County Clerk on December 22, 1977, and was referred by the Clerk
to the St. Croix County Comprehensive Planning, Zoning and Parks
Committee which Committee held a public hearing on the matter
January 16, 1978, preceeded by proper notice pursuant to
Wisconsin Statutes; and
WHEREAS the St. Croix County Comprehensive Planning, Zoning
and Parks Committee recommended adoption of the Ordinance setforth
below to carry out the intent of this petition.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT /i ��JSP-by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors that the following Ordinance be adopted:
Amend Sections 2.4, 2.4.1, 2.42, 2.4.6, 9.3.3,
9.7.10 and 11.3.9 of the St. Croix County Zoning
Ordinance as they relate to Agricultural Zoning
and Compliance with the Wisconsin Agricultural Lands
Preservation Law
1. Amend section 2.4 by deleting the paragraph entitled "Limitation
on Application" (including sub-paragraphs (.1) and (2)) .
2. Amend section 2.4.1(b) Permitted Uses, as follows:
"(b) Single family residential dwellings occccu .ed bby a
person who or a familyat least one member of whic�rns
a substantial part of his or her livelihood from farm
operations on the parcel, and or contributes work which is
substantially needed in the farm operation, and/or is a
arent or child of the farm operator or the spouse o t e
arm operator, and structures accessory and secondary to
such use, provided that not more than two such dwelling
units may be established, with or without creation of
separate parcels, upon a tract of land which exist-e-as
a single tract or parcel on the effective date of this
ordinance."
3. Amend section 2.4.1(c) as follows:
"(c) Roadside stands selling only produce from the farm
operation on the premises and involving only members of-the
arm family."
4. Section 2.4.1(d) is repealed.
5. Section 2.4.2 Minimum Lot Area is repealed and replaced with
the following:
"2.4.2 Minimum Lot Area
(a) Farm operations, 35 acres.
(b) Residences allowed under section 2.4.1(b) which are on
parcels separated by means of certified survey map rom t e
tract or the farm operation to whi:ch the relate: The -
provisions of sectiori 2.3.2(b) shall a Gone acre minimum
parcel size) .
(c) Other uses: to be established in the course of special
exception review.
6`. Sections 2.4.6(a) and 2.4.6(b) are repealed.
