WHEREAS, economic conditions in the United States, Wisconsin and St. Croix
County have resulted in substantial unemployment, and
WHEREAS, the United States Government has instituted a program of Public
Service Employment as a temporary measure to mitigate the effect upon citizens
of unsettled economic conditions, and
WHEREAS, participation in these federally funded programs requires affirmative
action by St. Croix County, and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County may provide Public Service Employment jobs of a
temporary nature to citizens of St. Croix County at no expense to county government,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board in Regular Session
that the Personnel Committee of the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
be authorized and directed to enter into appropriate contracts with the State
of Wisconsin to provide federally funded Public Service Employment jobs to citizens
of St. Croix County, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Job Service Center is
directed to advise the Personnel Committee in implementation of this resolution.
