RESOLUTION
Whereas the Governor of the State of Wisconsin ordered Wisconsin
Title XIX nursing home rates frozen effective December 23rd, 1974; and
. Whereas the St. Croix Health Center Nursing Home was on December
23rd being reimbursed on a temporary interim basis, which does
not return to the Nursing Home its costs of operation; and
Whereas approximately 92% of the patients at the St. Croix Health
Center Nursing Home depend upon Title XIX payments to meet the cost
of their nursing home care; and
Whereas the financial effect of being frozen at the temporary
interim rates is to cause losses to the County of St. Croix
approximating S19,nn0.00 per month in its Nursing Home operation;
Now Therefore Be It Resolved, That the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors urgently requests that the Governor of the State of
Wisconsin lift the freeze ,on Title XIX nursing home rates
as it applies to the operation of the St. Croix Health Center
Nursing Home facility: and
That Title XIX rates be allowed which will enable the St. Croix
Health Center Nursing Home to recover its legitimate costs of operation.
