HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1975 (035) �5 R E S GLUT ION S C7 �t TO RETAIN THE 10 COUNTY AREA IN THE PRISENT WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN HEALTH PLASNNENG COUNCIL WHEREAS, the Congress has passed and President Ford has signed into law the National Health Planning and Resources Development Act of 1974; and WHEREAS, this law reaffirms the importance of health planning on an areawide basis but that it supplants the Public Health Services Act under which existing comprehensive health planning agencies operate; and WHEREAS, the new law calls for the establishment of a nationwide network of health services areas and health systems agencies; and WHEREAS, St. Croix County has cooperated in this areawide effort for the past 4 years; and WHEREAS, The area currently served by the Council is felt to be a logical health planning area and planning activities are progressing very well; and WHEREAS, St. Croix County has demonstrated support of WCWHPC through monetary contributions in the amount of $6,870.80; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors endorses the WCWHPC position that this 10 county area should be designated as a health services area under the National Health Planning and Resources Development Act of 1974 and urge that every effort be expended to insure that such designation is received.
