WHEREAS, the November Session of the County Board authorized the Sheriff's
Department to apply for Federal Funds to employ two additional men., and
WHEREAS, the work load has increased to require that these men be added
to the Sheriff's Department as of July 1, 1970,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the County
Board transfer the sum of $15,000.00 to the Sheriff's Budget in the event the
Federal Grant is denied to provide that the Sheriff and Magistrates Committee
may proceed with the hiring of said personnel July 1, 1970.
WHEREAS, there are discrepancies in the salaries of the Traffic Officers
and full-time personnel of the Sheriff's Department,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the
full-time personnel of the Sheriff's Department with exception of the Sheriff
and his secretary shall bepaidon the same salary schedule as adopted by
the Highway Committee for the Traffic Officers.
