WHEREAS, St. Croix County has an Emergency Operations Plan
setting forth those actions to be taken by this unit of government during periods
of extreme emergency, and;
WHEREAS it is deemed necessary to exercise our capability to
effectively implement the Emergency Operations Plan through coordinated
actions by the personnel and departments having various emergency responsibilities;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we request an Emergency
Operations Simulation Exercise to be conducted by the Civil Defense Extension
Program of the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, in conjunction with
the local office of Emergency Government, under the auspices of the Wisconsin
Division of Emergency Government, at a, date and time to be mutually arranged,
and;
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED that such participation by governmental
departments and personnel be regarded as in-service training with no special
fiscal appropriation necessary, and that such participation by personnel be
required in keeping with the Wisconsin Emergency Operations Plan as adopted
on May 11, 1971.
