WHEREAS, Chapter 276 (SB 161)(S S 345.26) of the 1971 Legislative
session imposes the cost of sending a receipt by mail to the person
posting a deposit for a traffic violation which may be forfeited or
returned, and
WHEREAS, this procedure is very costly and time consuming,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors go on record recommending that the mailing of a receipt
by return mail be deleted from the statutes and that copies of this
resolution be sent to our legislators and all other county boards.
