WHEREAS new sewer facilities are needed to service the St. Croix
County Hospital and
WHEREAS the municipal sewer system of the city of New Richmond
has been made available by- construction of a perimeter sewer around the
boundaries of the city and the construction of a lateral therefrom to
the St. Croix County Hospital., and
WHEREAS the city of New Richmond has approved the attached agree-
ment with the.St. Croix County, governing the construction of the
sewer,
IT IS HEREBY resolved that St. Croix County approve said agree-
ment and authorize the Committee chairman and the County Clerk to
execute same on behalf of St. Croix County.

AGREEMENT
This agreement made by and between the City of New Richmond,
a municipal corporation, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, hereinafter
called CITY, and the County of St. Croix, State of Wisconsin,
hereinafter called COUNTY.
Whereas, CITY is building a perimeter sewer around the
boundaries of the city and,
Whereas, the COUNTY owns the St. Croix County Hospital
which lies adjacent to the city limits of New Richmond, but is
not incorporated within the CITY and,
Whereas, the COUNTY desires to use the perimeter sewer
line and sewage disposal system of the CITY and the CITY is
willing to cooperate and allow such use.
Now, therefore, the parties agree as follows:
1. CITY has caused to be constructed and has obligated
itself to pay for a lateral sewer line connecting the perimeter
sewer and the St. Croix County Hospital. The CITY has received
30% federal aid and 25% state aid toward the cost of said con-
struction. The CITY'S unreimbursed cost for this lateral is
$17,520.00.
2. The parties agree that the CITY shall own and maintain
the lateral referred to above on the same basis as other sewer
mains in the CITY.
3. COUNTY hereby grants to CITY an easement 40 feet wide,
being 20 feet on either side of the said lateral for use in
repairing and maintaining said lateral.
4. All connections by the COUNTY to said lateral shall be
made in compliance with the State of Wisconsin regulations and
specifications of the CITY engineer and shall be at COUNTY cost.
5. The COUNTY shall pay to the CITY on or before January 15,
1972, the following sums:
Reimbursement for lateral $17,520.00
Contribution to perimeter
sewer construction cost $35,000.00
$52,520.00
6. In the event the CITY receives additional,:j�financing
assistance over and above the 30% federal and 25% state contri-
butions, the CITY shall reimburse the COUNTY for its prorata
share of the $17,520.00, cost of said lateral.
The parties hereby certify that the undersigned officers
have been duly authorized to enter into this agreement by a resolu-
tion, a copy of which is attached hereto.
