CROIX COUNTY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES BOARD SEPTEMBER 12, 2000 The St. Croix County Health and Human Services Board met on September 12, 2000, at the St. Croix County Human Services complex in New Richmond, Wisconsin. MEMBERS PRESENT: Robert Stephens Leon Berenschot Chris Bethke Lois Burri James Craig Einar Horne Fern Johnson Mary Louise Olson Esther Wentz MEMBERS ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: John Borup, Health and Human Services Director Carolyn Krieger, Nursing Home Administrator Judy Ziegler, Accounting Supervisor Barbara Nelson, Public Health Supervisor-Health Officer Dena Ryttie, Long Term Support Social Work Supervisor Ron Lockwood, Long Term Support Coordinator Malva Berg, Secretary OTHERS PRESENT: Deb Kathan, Personnel Director Chairman Stephens called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. noting the meeting was properly and legally publicized. NEXT MEETING: The next Health and Human Services Board meeting will be Thursday September 28, 2000 at 6:30 PM. Stephens will not be able to attend the meeting on September 28 and asked Berenschot to chair that meeting. AGENDA: Motion: A motion was introduced by Bethke, seconded by Johnson, and unanimously adopted: That the agenda be approved as circulated. i MINUTES: Motion: A motion was introduced by Berenschot, seconded by Burri, and unanimously adopted: That the minutes of the 08/24/00 Health and Human Services Board meeting be approved as circulated. The Board congratulated Barbara Nelson, Public Health Supervisor-Health Officer, for being awarded the "Certificate of Recognition" Award from the DHFS Secretary Joe Leean for the "Enhancement of the Public Health Partnership between State and Local Agencies." Borup announced that St. Croix Industries is going to be selling used woodworking equipment. It was the consensus of the Board that it would be best to get bids on these items and to sell to the highest bidder. 2001 BUDGET UPDATE: Stephens said he met with the Finance Committee on September 11. The Finance Committee moved to recommend approval to the County Board of the Health and Human Services resolution. Borup said we have adjusted the Nursing Home county allocation down to $430, 382. This Human Services vouchers 3416 through 3474, dated August 31, 2000 in the amount of $89, 568.99. Human Services voucher 3475, dated August 31, 2000 in the amount of $840.14 . Human Services vouchers 3476 through 3544, dated September 07, 2000 in the amount of $80, 246.24 . Human Services vouchers 3545 through 3568, dated September 12, 2000 in the amount of $49,271.31. Human Services vouchers 3569 through 3775, dated September 12, 2000 in the amount of $43, 980.26. Farm vouchers 3 through 5, dated September 12, 2000 in the amount of $47.72. Krieger said we received ITP monies in June and will not receive any more ITP monies until December. She said there are no dollars from the County to cover salary and fringe benefit increases in this report. Borup said the monies for the retro paychecks are not included in the July statement but will be included in the August statements. It was the consensus of the Board to change the time for the day meeting from an 8:00 AM start time to 8:30 AM start time starting with the meeting on October 11.
