PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING
Date: June 1, 2000 Location: Government Center, Hudson
The Personnel Committee meeting was called to order at 9:10 a.m. by Chairman Gerald
Peterson. Members present: Peterson,Art Jacobson, Mary Louise Olson, Julie Speer, and Ralph
Swenson. Also present: Debra Kathan, Steve Weld,mediator Tom Yeager, and Chuck Whiting.
Moved (Jacobson, Swenson) and approved to adopt the agenda as presented. The next
meeting was scheduled for July 31 at 9 a.m. Moved(Swenson, Olson) and approved to accept
the minutes of the May 10 meeting. Motion(Speer, Jacobson)to go into closed session per WI
Stat. 19.85 (1) c and e for the purpose of continuing negotiations with the AFSCME union. Roll
call vote: all aye; moved into closed session at 9:25 a.m.
Moved (Speer, Swenson) and approved to come out of closed session at 4:35 p.m.
Peterson noted that the next Personnel Committee meeting would be scheduled for 8 a.m. on
June 8. No contract settlement was reached during the mediation session. Moved (Speer, Olson)
and approved to adjourn at 4:36 p.m.
