PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING
Date: January 19, 2000 Location: Health Center,New Richmond
The Personnel Committee meeting was called to order at 9:13 a.m. by Chairman Gerald
Peterson. Members present: Peterson, Art Jacobson, Herb Giese, and Mary Louise Olson.
Excused absence: Julie Speer. Also present: Debra Kathan, John Borup, Kristie Tellijohn, Lori
Cloutier, Carolyn Krieger, and Steve Weld.
Moved (Jacobson, Giese) and approved to accept the agenda as presented. The next
meeting was scheduled for February 23. Moved (Olson, Jacobson) and approved to accept the
minutes of the January 10 and 14 meetings. Motion(Giese, Olson)to go into closed session per
WI Stat. 19.85 (1) c and e for the purpose of continuing labor negotiations with the Health Center
Union. Roll call vote: all aye; moved into closed session at 9:15 a.m. Present for the union were
Lisa Weiske, Beth Adams, Diane Northrup, and Steve Hartmann.
Moved(Giese, Jacobson) and approved to come out of closed session at 11:10 a.m.
Peterson noted that AFSCME business agent Steve Hartmann called for mediation. Discussion
regarding the $2.00 per hour premium paid to CNAs on weekend shifts. Moved(Jacobson, j
Giese) and approved to extend that $2.00 offer until contract settlement. Discussion regarding
health insurance issues. No action taken. Peterson adjourned the Committee at 11:35 a.m.
