MINUTES
St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee
May 17, 2000
St. Croix County Ag Center, Baldwin, Wisconsin
Committee members present: Linda Luckey, Buck Malick,Art Jensen, Gerald Larson, Ron Raymond
Staff present: Steve Fisher
Chairman Raymond called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. A motion was made by Malick, second by
Larson to adopt the agenda.
Steve Fisher read the notice into the record.
Chairman Raymond explained the hearing process.
Wahlquist Brothers to rezone 2.7 +/-acres of land from Agriculture to Ag/Residential. Location: A
parcel of land located in the NW %of the NW'/a in Section 1, T28N-R17W, Town of Rush River, St. Croix
County, Wisconsin.
Fisher updated the committee on this request, including floodplain information.
Charles Wahlquist was present and explained his request. He plans to rezone the property to sell off an
existing manufactured home and outbuildings that are on the parcel. The manufactured home has been
on the site since 1990.
Marlee Jensen, 2203 5th Avenue, Baldwin, stated that she is 100% in favor of the rezoning.
Chairman Raymond asked for comments from anyone opposing the request. None were heard.
Motion by Malick, second by Jensen to close hearing.
Motion by Jensen, second by Malick to recommend approval of the rezoning request to the County Board
based on the following findings:
1) The request meets all county zoning ordinance requirements.
2) The provisions of§ 91.77 have been met with this rezoning request. —
3) The Town of Rush River has recommended approval, and also found, among other
things, that the request is consistent with § 91.77 .
4) All public comments for this request were favorable.
Motion to adjourn the hearing made by Larson, second by Luckey. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at
7:15 p.m.
