PRESENT: Chairperson Chris Bethke and Supervisors Leon Berenschot, Art Jensen, Lois Burn and Ron
Raymond. Staff:Dave Fodroczi.
Chairperson Chris Bethke called the meeting to order at 12:25 p.m.Motion by Berenschot, seconded Jensen
to adopt the agenda.Motion carried.
2000 Budget for Recycling and Hazardous Waste
Planning Director Dave Fodroczi presented a Recycling Program budget in the amount of $193,404 to
continue ongoing program activities. He highlighted adjustments to Professional Services (219),
Contractual Services (299) and Grants & Contributions (790). The budget was a 21% reduction over the
1999 budget due to declining program revenues from the State. The budget is funded from a State
Recycling Grant and tire recycling fees. Motion by Jensen, seconded by Berenschot to approve the
Recycling budget as presented. Motion carried.
Fodroczi also presented a Hazardous Waste budget in the amount of $38,051. This budget had a minimal
increase of.50%over 1999 due to staff costs. No revenue was projected,because the County received grant
funds for this program in 1999. An application for State funding will still be submitted. Motion by
Berenschot, seconded by Burn to approve the Hazardous Waste budget as submitted. Motion carried.
Motion by Raymond,seconded by Jensen to adjourn at 12:40 p.m. Motion carried.
