Site Wage/Time Survey:
Regional Dining Site Wage Comparisons results . were
distributed. We have advertised for the Hudson Site
Supervisor for 4 months and no one has applied. Sandy is
researching an increase to $7.34 for dining site staff. This
could be a increase budget of approximately $14,000 for
the year 2000. There will probably be no increase in
nutrition funds to cover this amount. Sandy presented
possible options: 1) Have 1 or 2 central kitchens, 2) Get
cheap catered meals, 3) Close a dining site, 4) Cut back to
3 days a week, 5) Increase volunteer pool, 6) Cut staff
hours and increase salary, 7) Open dining site just for 2-3
hours to serve meal, or 8) Pay staff according to the
number of meals they serve at site. Herb Giese appointed
Council on Aging members, Ann Healy, Rich Peterson,
and Mary Lou Smith to study this issue further. A motion
was made by Larry Weisenburger and Lois Burri to
increase the Hudson Site Supervisor position to $7.34 as
of June 1St; motion carried.
