ST ROI.,w ~[~w� RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF 53 ACRES IN
' Y "',0. THE VILLAGE OF BALDWIN FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
A NEW HIGHWAY FACILITY
1 WHEREAS, the Ad Hoc Transportation Space Needs Facility Planning Committee has
2 reviewed and identified parcels of land for the construction of a new Highway Facility; and
3
4 WHEREAS, the Ad Hoc Transportation Space Needs Facility Planning Committee
5 authorized the negotiation of an offer to purchase for the 53 acres in the Village of Baldwin; and
6
7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of
8 Supervisors that it hereby approves the purchase of 53 acres, more or less, in the Village of
9 Baldwin at $16,000 per acre and subject to the term and conditions of the Vacant Land Offer to
10 Purchase negotiated on July 18, 2017;

12 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that up to $850,000 be transferred from the general
13 fund for the purchase of the real estate, said amount to be reimbursed to the general fund from
14 the proceeds of a tax exempt borrowing.

Fiscal Impact: The cost of the land is$848,000 more or less depending on final acres surveyed.
This cost will be paid from the bond issue for the new Highway Facility.
