ST. ROI X- RESOLUTION ADOPTING UPDATED WAGE GRIDS FOR 2018
1 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County implemented the McGrath Compensation Grid effective January 1, 2016
2 and amended January 1, 2017 with a 0.5% COLA; and

4 WHEREAS, the compensation plan recommends annual cost of living adjustments to the entire grid to
5 maintain market comparability; and

7 WHEREAS, the 12 month CPI index for all items was 2.2%through September 2017;
8
9 WHEREAS, the County does have limited budgetary funds and tax levying authority due to the State of
10 Wisconsin tax levy limits;

12 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors does hereby authorize
13 updating the McGrath Compensation Grids for 2018 with a grid shift resulting in a 1.5% increase in the
14 maximum ranges, effective January 1, 2018.

Legal Note:
Fiscal Impact: The added step on the wage grid does provide two employees that have maxed out
the current grid system an unbudgeted step. The additional total cost of$1,250
would be easily absorbed in the Facilities department budget. Facilities is the only
department affected.
