Cornrnunity Development Department staff have reviewed your sign Permit application for the
construction of an On-Premise, Permanent Sign in the Commercial /oning District pursuant to
Section 17.65 E.2.a. Of the St. Croix County Zoning Ordinance. The request has been conditionally
approved based on the application submission and the following findings.
The total area of the sign is 32-square feet, 4 feet by 8 feet in dirnension
The sign meets all applicable setbacks.
The sign will be freestanding and be approximately 8 feet tall.
The sign is not proposed to be lit.
Based on these findings, approval of SP 2018 005 is subje( t to the following conditions:
1. Immediately upon completing construction of the sign, the agent shall notify this Department
and submit photographs to document compliance with this permit.
2. The applicant shall be responsible to secure any other required lo(al, state or federal perrnit;s)
and approval(s) prior to erecting the signs.
3. Any amendment or change in the proposed sign shall require prior review by the 7oning
Administrator for compliance with Chapter 171.6-S D2.d. as a new land use permit may be required.
4. failure to comply with the terms or conditions above may result in the revocation of this permit
by the Zoning Administrator according to Chapter 17.65 E.6.
This approval is subject to the conditions listed above.; it does not allow for any additional signs,
sign components and elements of signs beyond the limits of this request. Your information will
remain on file with the St. Croix County Community Development Department. It is your
responsibility to ensure compliance with any other local; state, or federal permitting or regulations,

I loullon Storage Garages LLC (HSG) is requesting authorization to install permanent business sign at its facility 'n
Houlton, WI I he sign shall be for On-Premise use for a Commercial District business. The sign shall have contact
information and advertising ~nfonnalion for the on-premise facility only. Ttie sign will be metal or plastic backed with a
ponied face that will be anached to free standing fence posts adjacent to our south entrance No auxiliary
illumination for the signs will be present.
I he signs will be placed approximately 20 from the, front property line and 220 from the closest side yard (north
property line) at a height of approximately 8 high (top of sign). I he location of the signs will be approximately 70
from the centerline of the road on HSG property. the sign shall be well bark in the sight quadrants to allow rente•s to
safely get onto Main Street in front of the property. The sign shall be 4' tall by 8' wide- The sign will be, single sided
facing toward Main Street.
We are requesting one 4'x8' sign on stand-alone fence post which puts the s gn in the Orr Pfe'fli$e, Frecstancing

REVIEW:
The Zoning Administrator will reNiew de application for completeness and assign a file number to the application. The Zoning
Administrator may require additional information and coil! notify the aripl:cant of this within a reasonable timefmme. Upon receiving a
complete application and supporting documents, the Zoning Administrator trill:
• send copies of the applications to the appropriate reviewing agencies for comment. Applicants are encouraged to contact
their town to discuss their application and inquire about necessary building permits and approvals at the town level;
