STRATEGIC INITIATIVE #3

WHEREAS, in 2008, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors (Board) established strategic initiatives
at its annual strategic planning and goal setting session; and
WHEREAS, Effective Community Services Strategic Initiative #3 reads as follows:
Continue to provide quality services to older adults and persons with disabilities through the Aging and
Disability Resource Center of St. Croix County. Fully implement four key areas: volunteers, programs,
nutrition, and information/education. (Council on Aging and Disabilities and Health and Human
Services); and
WHEREAS, at its 2009 strategic planning and goal setting session, the Board determined that Effective
Community Services Strategic Initiative #3 has been completed and was removed as a strategic initiative; and
WHEREAS, the Council on Aging and Disabilities believes Effective Community Services Strategic
Initiative #3 is an ongoing initiative and believes the Board should reinstate it; and
WHEREAS, the Board agrees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors reinstates
2008 Effective Community Services Strategic Initiative #3 to the 2009 Strategic Initiatives.
