OF AN ENERGY COMMITTEE

St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, with the cost of oil rising to record levels it makes sense for St. Croix
County to study alternate forms of energy; and
WHEREAS, knowledge gained may provide the County the opportunity to utilize
alternate forms of energy to power its facilities or provide energy to the public; and
WHEREAS, knowledge gained may be used in education programs to provide the public
with inform about how to use alternate forms of ener and
WHEREAS, an energy committee should be formed to study alternate forms of energy
and consider their uses by the County and education programs for the public.

THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that an ad
hoc Energy Committee be formed for the purposes set out above.
FURTHER, be it resolved that the County Board Chair, in consultation with the Vice
Chair, appoint the members of the committee, including supervisors and supervisor
membe of the public with a demonstrated interest in the sub and designate a department to
work with or provide staff support to the committee.
FURTHER, be it resolved that the ad hoc Energy Committee exist until the Board
determines it is no longer necessary.
