CROIX COUNTY FAIRPLEX Resolution No. , t , bUS St. Croix County, Wisconsin WHEREAS, the former St. Croix County Fairground is now named the St. Croix County Fairplex; and WHEREAS, the Fairplex is an important part of the social fabric of St. Croix County; and WHEREAS, the Fairplex hosts the St. Croix County Fair and other youth activities, making it an important component of 4 -H, FFA, and other youth organizations committed to preparing our young people for leadership careers and personal growth; and WHEREAS, the Fairplex gives adults and seniors an opportunity to showcase their creative talents and to enjoy a true main street experience; and WHEREAS, the Fairplex is a center for cultural arts: and WHEREAS, The Fairplex facility provides suitable accommodations for a wide variety of activities ranging from car shows to the St. Croix Valley PRCA Rodeo; and WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Fairplex is a valuable asset to St. Croix County; WHEREAS, significant steps have been taken to improve and modernize the Fairplex, much remains to be done to continue to provide a facility that meets the needs of today's world. THEREFORE, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors supports and endorses the St. Croix County Fairplex's Renovations for the Generations, a $3.5 million fund drive to modernize the Fairplex for generations to come.
