The St. Croix County Board of Adjustment has reviewed your request for a Conditional Use
Permit for a Bed and Breakfast Establishment, pursuant to Section 17.15 (6)(p) of the St. Croix
County Zoning Ordinance. Also, a Conditional Use Permit for limited cornmercial recreational
activities, pursuant to Section 17.15(6)(m).

'fhe applicant requests a C ondnional Use Permit for a Red and Breakfast Establishment, pursuant
to Section 1'.15 (61(p;i of the St. Croix Ccnuu~ 7oninc Ordinance.
The Public Health Department require, a License for the Red and Breakfast Fstablishntent.
4. This request would not impair the cur'r'ent or future agricultural use of surrcxmding properties as the
site itself is an active farm and no additional surucutres are proposed at this time.

DECISION

the applicant's Conditional Use requests. with the following condition:

1. The site is located at 1976 County Road CC. New Richmond. A1.1 X4017.
2. The applicant requests a Conditional Ilse Permit fix Limited Commercial Recreational

The applicant proposes to have tours. events and classes to help support the non profit
animal farm sanctuary.

This request would not impair the current or future agricultural use of surrounding
properties as the site itself is an active famt and no additional structure.,; are proposed at
this time.

site is Rural Residential, and not a Commercial District. commercial uses are to be limited
and intended to serve a«rieulturc. Lirniti' the tours to Wcdncsdav-Friday. with a
maximum of 1 tour per dad' between gam--lpm and a maximum of 50 guests per tour will
reduce the impact of guests onsite considering all other actiyitics requested.
11. Movie nights in the barnvard are not compatible with the agricultural use in the Residential
District. ,additionally hosting it movie outside poses noise as a nuisance in the evcnin.
12. Humane l:ducatinn Day Camps do not scent to 171 any ofthe permitted or conditional uses
allawecl in the Rural Residential District, nor does this activity seem to be subordinate to
the agricultural use of'the property.

DECISION
