POWTS Service Contract
The proper operation a-id -na rte-ante of the components listed below will significantly in9uence the performance and
life rxpectancy of the POW TS (private ons le wastewater treatment system). This agreei authorizes Steiner Plumbing
& Electric Inc. or their representative access to the POW TS components during regular business hours toper form regular
inspections and routine maintenance of those components.
It is hereby agreed by and between Owner and Service Provider that in consideration of the payments provided for
herein; Service Provider will perform periodic inspections of the POWTS components as set forth below. Service Provider
w prepare a written inspection report after each inspection containing any recommendations for the operation,
maintenance, and/or repair of the PONTS deemed appropriate by the Service Proviaer. A copy of the report will be
provided to the Owner and the appropriate governing unit. Srrvicr Provider will supply additional services, parts, or labor
with authorization by purchase.
T his agreement does not assume any responsibilities or obligations that are normally the responsibilities and obligations
of the Owner anc does not cover any costs associated with operation, maintenance, and/or repair of the POWrTS. In no
event shall Service Provider be responsible for any special or consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of
time, ~njury to person or property, or incidental economic loss due to equipment failure for any reason whatsoever.
T his agreement shall remain in effect for a period of two (2) years ?rorn the date of POWTS installation and will be
automatically renewed each year thereafter unless amended or cancelled by either party with 30 days written notice. This
agreement may be cancelled by Owner only it replaced by a service contract with another service provider authorized to
'nspect and maintair• the specific POWTS components in question.
Purchaser agrees to pay Service Provider the sum of $275.00 per inspection. Two (2) inspections will be provided over the
first year period. Payment for the first two inspections will be included in the cost of the POW IS design. Two (2)
inspections per year will be conducted therealter with inspection lees billed at the time of inspection. Additional fees
associated with effluent testing, when require. will be billed at time and material cost.

One (1) Bio Microbics MYFAST tank with inspection of related pumps and general condition of septic syste•n.

Project Narrative
fhe YNI(:A Hudson - (-'amp Saint Croix IacilitY is composed of muliiplc
huildings with varied uses. Currently the KLC, North Bath, Lodge, Dinint,
Hall, Savannah, River Center, South Bath, and Staff House are served by
numerous Private Onsite Waste 7'reatnuont Systems INAVTS). Rather than
have multiple different systems to maintain and monitor a centralized s,,wm
for the facilities will be installed.
The new centralized POWTS will simplify monitoring and treatment lot the
facility operator(s). Existing septic tanks and pump tanks will he utilized.
The strategy in maintaining these facilities is three fold.
I . In the event of a power failwre the toilets can still be flushed and the
existing septic and pump tank storage capacity will allow the facility
managers to respond without sewage backups into the huildings.
2. It is cost effective to utilize the existing treatment capacity of the septic,
tanks and utilize existing pump tanks to convey waste water.
Centralized aerobic neaiment maY he utilized to beat all the waste
water generated.
The new. POWTS will consist of a 12,000 gallon Septic Tank, a 20,000 gallon
~',duilization;`IY~IYF.AST Tank, a 0 ' 1=+ttk, and a , -00
gallon Clarification/Dose Tank. ]'his system t I sere c to prop ide hiohly
treated effluent to the soil absorption system.
The soil absorption system will consist of 20 cells that are T x 130'. I he
cells Will be constructed with E7.Flow bundles and will have a pressure
distributions lateral of 1.5" PVC, with 5/32" holes spaced every 5'. There
will he 5 groups of 4 calls that will he time dosed.
