CROIX COUNTY BUILDING FACILITIES LONG -TERM PLANNING AD HOC COMMITTEE October 7, 2009 Official Meeting was called to order by Chair Rebholz at 11:25 a.m. in Room 1281 of the Government Center in Hudson. MEMBERS PRESENT: Roger Rebholz, Richard King, Esther Wentz, Julie Speer, Daryl Standafer, Gene Ruetz OTHERS PRESENT: Administrative Coordinator Chuck Whiting, Health & Human Services Director Fred Johnson, SEH Engineer Dave Simons, UW Extension Agent Pete Kling. ADOPTION OF AGENDA: Motion byStandafer, 2nd by King to adopt the agenda, motion carried unanimously. DATE OF NEXT MEETING: November 4, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING. Motion by Speer to approve the minutes from September 9th, 2nd by Wentz, motion carried unanimously. NEW AND OLD BUSINESS: 1. SE Report on Study Progress — Simons reviewed the Phase I building study work done to date. His report reviewed all the building and land studies completed by the County in the last twenty or so years. Included in his review were the Gair study of the Government Center property, the two different Ayres studies of the Government Center building and property, the Keefe study of the nursing home, various Wipfli studies of the nursing home and its options, the Verbiecher study of the County farm property, the White appraisal, the Plan for a Plan Government Center study, the Barsness Government Center property study, the STH 64 alignment options, and the Sheriff's Security Assessment studies for the Government Center and HI facilities. Discussion about the relative merits of the studies and subsequent County actions. Tobin briefed the Committee on recent Dunn County building activities. A request for the research material gathered to be sent to each committee member prior to our November 4th meeting date. 2. Items for November Agenda — Dave Simons will continue his work on Phase I and will report again on November 4h. Discussion on the timing of the study relative to budget.
