Meeting was called to order by Chair Rebholz at 3:07 a.m. in Room 1281 of the Government Center in Hudson.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Roger Rebholz, Richard King, Esther Wentz, Julie Speer, Daryl Standafer, Gene Ruetz
OTHERS PRESENT: Administrative Coordinator Chuck Whiting, Health & Human Services Director Fred
Johnson, Building Services Director Art Tobin, SEH Engineer Dave Simons, UW
Extension Agent Pete Kling.
ADOPTION OF AGENDA: Motion by Wentz, 2nd by King to adopt the agenda, motion carried unanimously.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING: October 7, 2009 at 9:30 a.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING: Motion by Ruetz to approve the minutes from August 5th, 2nd
by Speer, motion carried unanimously.
NEW AND OLD BUSINESS:
1. SEH Report on Study Progress — Tobin and Simons reviewed the Phase I building study work done to date. Simons
provided an update on his activities including a schedule of work done to date and work to be completed by November.
He reviewed the discussion items from the last committee meeting and his review of past studies done by the County on
building and County land planning. He is through most of those studies and will next be going through the security studies
recently done by Chief Deputy Shilts of the Government Center and HHS facilities. He is expecting to identify common
themes in the studies for consideration by the Committee. He will be conducting facility tours for his own assessment of
buildings and properties.
The Committee discussed the status of the Ag Center building, its roof and tenant arrangement. Discussion on the amount
of "dead" storage that exists in all facilities for file storage. General discussion of space needs options and functional
compatibilities of various departments.
2. Items for October Agenda — Dave Simons will continue his work on Phase I and will report again on October 7dh.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 3:46 p.m.
