CROIX COUNTY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES BOARD SEPTEMBER 2, 1999 The St. Croix County Health and Human Services Board met on August 2, 1999, at the St. Croix County Human Services complex in New Richmond, Wisconsin. MEMBERS PRESENT: Robert Stephens, Chair Chris Bethke Jack Dowd Einar Horne Fern Johnson Mary Louise Olson MEMBERS ABSENT: Leon Berenschot, excused Lois Burri, excused James Craig, excused STAFF PRESENT: John Borup, Health and Human Services Director Carolyn Krieger, Nursing Home Administrator Ron Kiesler, AODA/Mental Health Coordinator Barb Nelson, Public Health Supervisor-Health Officer Fred Johnson, Family and Children's Supervisor Ron Eichstaedt, Director, St. Croix Industries Marilyn Fruit, Economic Support Supervisor Kathy Dunlap, Family and Children's Supervisor Karen Hall, Long Term Support Coordinator Ron Lockwood, Long Term Support Steve Kirt, AODA/MH Clinical Services Supervisor Malva Berg, Secretary OTHERS PRESENT: None Chair Stephens called the meeting to der at 6:30 P g or� p.m. noting the meeting was properly and legally publicized. NEXT MEETING: The Health and Human Services Board meeting scheduled for September 14, 1999 at 8:00 AM. Chris Bethke will review vouchers at 7:30 AM. Johnson said she will be out of town for the 09/14/99 meeting. Olson said she and Burri would also be out of town attending the WCA meeting in Madison on 09/14/99. AGENDA: Motion: A motion was introduced by Bethke, seconded by Johnson, and unanimously adopted: That the agenda be approved as circulated. MINUTES: Motion: A motion was introduced by Dowd, seconded by Olson, and unanimously adopted: That the minutes of the 08/11/99 Health and Human Services Board meeting be approved as circulated. PRESENTATION AND ACTION ON 2000 BUDGET FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AND NURSING HOME: Stephens said there are many indefinites in this budget. He said any motion made regarding the budget should have the following statement that any additional money for this budget which has not been provided by the county or State funds should come from the County contingency fund. Nelson presented the Board with information regarding consolidated contracts for Public Health. Nelson said Public Health will receive more funds this year because of the consolidated contracts. Nelson also distributed information to the Board regarding water quality and atrazine alert meetings and MMWR report on infectious diseases. Stephens asked if there were any other issues to bring before the Board. Motion: A motion was introduced by Olson, seconded by Bethke, and unanimously adopted: That the meeting be adjourned.
