Personnel Committee Meeting
Date : April 20 , 1999 Location: Government Center, Hudson
The meeting P.m. Y
was called to order at 1 :30 b Vice Chairman
Gerald Peterson. Members present : Peterson, Art Jacobson, Mary
Louise Olson, Herb Giese. Excused absence: William Krueger. Also
present : Carolyn Krieger, John Borup, and Kristie Tellijohn from
the HHS Department/Nursing Home and John Krizek and Debra Kathan.
Discussion regarding changing the next meeting date . Moved
(Jacobson, Olson) and approved to change the next Personnel
Committee meeting date to May 4 at 9 a.m. Moved (Olson, Giese) and
approved to accept the minutes of the April 7 meeting. Moved
(Giese, Jacobson) and approved to accept the agenda as submitted.
Kathan noted that the date, location, and entertainment for the
Employee Recognition banquet had been confirmed. More plans will
be developed for a later meeting.
Motion (Giese, Jacobson) to go into closed session per WI
Stat . 19 . 85 (1) c for the purpose of reviewing pay strategies in
the nursing home operation. Roll call vote : all aye; moved into
closed session at 1 :37 p.m. Moved (Giese, Olson) and approved to
come out of closed session at 3 : 13 p.m. Moved (Jacobson, Olson)
and approved to authorize Krizek and Kathan to meet with the
nursing home union regarding staffing shortages . A report will be
brought back to the Personnel Committee on May 4 .
Moved (Giese, Jacobson) and approved to adjourn at 3 : 15 p.m.
