PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING
Date: December 15, 1999 Location: Government Center,Hudson
The Personnel Committee meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m. by Chairman Gerald
Peterson. Members present: Peterson, Herb Giese, Art Jacobson, Julie Speer, and Mary Louise
Olson. Also present: Debra Kathan, John Borup, and Steve Weld.
Motion (Giese, Jacobson)to go into closed session per WI Stat. 19.85 91) c and e for the
purpose of continuing negotiations with the AFSCME union. Roll call vote: all aye; moved into
closed session at 9:07 a.m. The committee met with AFSCME business agent Steve Hartmann
and representatives of the professional and non-professional bargaining units in Human Services.
Moved (Peterson, Jacobson) and approved to come out of closed session at 11:50 a.m.
General discussion regarding the lines of authority with health insurance decisions and division
of authority between negotiations, service provision and costing. No action taken. Moved
(Giese, Jacobson) and approved to adjourn at 12:07 p.m.
