Submitted by: St. Croix County Planning Department Date: November 10, 1999, 9:00 a.m. cc: County Board Office News Media/Notice Board County Clerk Committee Members i MINUTES PLANNING, ZONING AND PARKS COMMITTEE November 17, 1999 I Present: Ron Raymond, Jerry Larson, Art Jensen, Linda Luckey and Dave Hense. Staff present: Ellen Denzer and Steve Fisher. Meeting was called to order b Chairman Ron Raymond at 7: g by 30 p.m. Motion by Hense, seconded by Larson to adopt the agenda as presented. Motion carried. Raymond noted that the meeting has been properly noticed as a public hearing. Raymond reviewed the purpose of the meeting, to hold a public hearing for audience members to express comments regarding the proposed St. Croix County Development Management Plan. He also reviewed the procedures which were followed during the meeting. Raymond opened the hearing and asked Planner Ellen Denzer to provide a short overview of the plan. Denzer then answered questions to clarify the plan contents. Raymond then asked anyone interested in speaking to fill out a comment card with their name, address and a brief summary of their comments for the record. Staff collected the comment cards. Raymond called on the speakers in the following order: Buck Malick, Hudson; Craig Olson, River Falls; Wayne Federer, New Richmond; Ray Drake, Eau Claire; John Swenson, River Falls; Tom Lovejoy, Eau Claire; and Bob Rolle, River Falls. Copies of the comment cards are attached. As no one else wished to speak, Raymond closed the hearing at 9 p.m. Raymond thanked the audience for attending for their input. He noted that the comment period will remain open until 5 p.m. December 1, 1999. Comments can be sent by regular mail, faxed or dropped off at the Planning Department in Hudson. Raymond explained that the Committee will consider all comments and make a recommendation regarding adoption of the plan to the County Board of Supervisors. They hope to bring it to the County Board for action within the next 30 to 90 days. Motion by Larson, seconded by Jensen to adjourn the meeting, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:10 P.M.
