Committee Members
St. Croix County Traffic Safety Commission meeting was hled
January 21, 1999 at the Sheriff Department in Hudson at 1:30PM.
Present were: Donald Johnson, Greg Helgeson, Brent Pickard,
Charles Grant, Steve Schofield, Miles Wittig, Bob Klanderman,
Gerald Larson, Jack Colvard, Randy Hanson and Pam Dabruzzi.
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Klanderman. Motion to
adopt agenda made and approved. Motion to accept minutes of
October 21, 1998 was made, seconded and approved.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
The request by Village of Woodville reference speed limit on
Hwy. 12 and signage on Co. Rd. B was referred on to WI DOT. Mr.
Helgeson stated they made some sign adjustments and did a speed
study. Discussion held.
NEW BUSINESS•
Dave McQuillen-ADA resigned as representative and ADA T. Heil
was appointed by DA Johnson.
Discussion was held reference making four (4) lanes on Hwy. 12
past Co. RD. UU. This is schedueled to be done in 2004. At that
time consideration will be made concerning traffic lights at UU and
Hwy. 12.
Discussion was held reference extending Carmichael Rd. to Co.
Rd. A. Not in the immediate plans at this time.
The County is looking at putting in some turn lanes this
summer at Co. Rd. UU and Carmichael Rd. Discussion was held
reference traffic lights being installed by City of Hudson at
intersection.
Mr. Pickard handed out traffic fatality information for the
State. St. Croix County had twenty (20) fatalities.
Captain Klanderman mentioned that the Sheriff's Department is
participating in Safe and Sober and Speedwave grants.
Mr. Wittig questioned design of intersection at Hwy. 64 WB ty
Dairy Queen in Somerset.
Motion was made and seconded to adjourn. Carried.
